FLORIAN MARY GRACE In her 101st year, peacefully passed at Vincentian Home, with her loving family by her side, on Thursday, September 24, 2015. She is survived by a very special niece, Frances (Rosella) Guastaferro; and a special great-niece, Deana Guastaferro Lewis. She was a special aunt to six nieces; five nephews; and an aunt to three more generations. Born June 19, 1915, in Claridge, PA, Westmoreland County, she was the daughter of the late Ignazio and Rose (Gilberti) Florian. She was the oldest of seven siblings who preceded her in death; two brothers, Dominic and William Florian; and sisters, Barbara Rosella, Josephine Baldessari, Emma Hillman and Florence Menegaz. Mary's faith was the single most important aspect of her life. After retirement, Mary enjoyed rug hooking, gardening, travel, caring for others and service to her church. Mary was an RN with the Visiting Nurse Association of Allegheny County. She made her lifelong career with the VNA, retiring as a physical therapist. Mary recently enjoyed her 100th birthday celebration with her family and friends. Mary's family will welcome friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at BRUSCO - NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 a.m. in Epiphany Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Epiphany Church Mercy Fund, 184 Washington Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
