OESTERLING THOMAS EUGENE Age 63, of West Mifflin, went home to be with the Lord, after a short but difficult battle with cancer, on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Born July 20, 1952, in Austin, Texas, son of the late Gerald E. and Helen R. (Leinenbach) Oesterling. He leaves behind the love of his life, JoAnn (Calcagno) Oesterling, after 20 years of marriage; father of Josh M. Thompson; brother of LouAnn (Mike) Browning, Debbie Oesterling and Duane (Shelley) Oesterling. In his spare time, Tom enjoyed studying Civil War History and watching movies. Tom also enjoyed crafting, building a variety of models and collecting Beatles and Wizard of Oz porcelain plates. Tom and JoAnn spent many happy and wonderful years together and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends and his faithful dog, Princess. You left us too soon, but go in peace and we will meet up in Heaven. Visitation will be held Sunday 2-8 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10 a.m. in Resurrection Church, West Mifflin. Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
