MARKEL JOHN M., Jr. On Monday, November 23, 2015, age 90, of Monroeville. He was a US Army WWII veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star in France for heroism. A son of the late John and Deliah Markel, Sr.; beloved father of John M. (Mary Ann) Markel, William S. (Diane) Markel and James S. Markel; grandfather of John W. (Christy), Joe (Nicole), Ethan, Justin, Ashleigh and Courtney Markel; great-grandfather of Ben, Sam and Lauren Markel; brother of the late Della Tyrell.
