McCARREN THOMAS M. Of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Robert McCarren and Martha Caldwell. He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Kathryn McCarren; and his adored son, Michael McCarren. Thomas is also survived by his two sisters, Donna McElhose (Jim) and Patricia Maxwell (Russell); and his two brothers, Robert McCarren, Jr. (Deborah) and John McCarren (Carol). Thomas was known as Frog by many of his friends. He was very fond of his hometown, Oakmont, Pennsylvania. He was very proud of himself for accomplishing his goal when he became a professional golfer and when he was at the golf course, you could often times catch him eating a hot dog. He also loved to tear up the dance floor. When Thomas wasn't golfing, you could find him watching his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers on his beloved couch. One of Tom's most cherished moments was watching his son win a gold medal in the Special Olympics World Games in 1999. He was loved by all and will be remembered fondly.
