MYSCHISIN MORRIS A LIFELONG RE...

MYSCHISIN MORRIS A lifelong resident of FC, age 95, passed away Jan. 16, 2016, at the Armstrong Co. Health Center. He was born July 9, 1920, to Onufry and Magdalena (Baszkv) Myschisin. He was retired from PPG Industries in FC. In his younger days, he was an officer in the Ukrainian Catholic Young League (UCYL) and the League of Ukrainian Catholics (LUC) and had many funny stories to tell of their conventions. He was on the picnic committee for the annual FC Community Picnic at Kennywood for years. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Stefana “Babe” (Bilyk), to whom he was married for 60 years; his brother, Walter; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and nephew, Paul (Freddie) Watson. He is survived by his son, Mark; daughter, Natalie Kugler; son-in-law, John; and grandson, Michael; sister, Dorothy Watson; brother, John; and several nieces and nephews. He enjoyed time with his family, especially watching his children, grandson, nieces and nephews as they enjoyed West View Park, Kennywood, Wildwood, NJ and Toronto, Ontario. Morris led a long, good life and enjoyed telling stories of his antics as a young boy, as a young man with his buddies, getting to and from various dances and pranks he played on his friends and family members. Every story ended with, “It was clean fun and no one got hurt.” Service of Divine Liturgy will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Ukrainian Church with Fr. John Gribik officiating. Interment in St. Mary's Ukrainian Cemetery. Visitation, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
