
LIBONATI JAMES J. Age 82, of Marshall Township, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2015. Loving husband of the late M. Christine Libonati; James was the proud father of Jimmy Libonati, Joe Libonati, Cindy Dumont, Johnny Libonati, and Aaron Libonati; grandfather of Nick Libonati, Julie Furman, Adam Libonati, Corey Libonati, Jamie Rhodes, Jonathan Dumont, Anthony Libonati, Erica Libonati, and Jocelyn Libonati; great-grandfather of Carson Rhodes and Chase Furman. James was always eager to discuss what it meant to be a Penn State Dad and Granddad. He joined the Marine Corps at the age of 17, fought in the Korean War in 1950-51, where he carried a Browning Automatic Rifle. James was the recipient of three Purple Hearts from wounds suffered during combat. James was a man who took the motto God, Family, Country very seriously and was a man of great faith. He loved working outside around the house, cutting grass, and making sure that all of his landscaping was in top shape. He will be missed dearly by everybody who surrounded him, especially the family dog, Surge. Family will welcome friends Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHELLHAAS & SONS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143, Franklin Park/Wexford. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Sts. John & Paul Catholic Church on Friday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
